The Guest

Hermes confessed live to save one video. It may cost him all of them.

In Apollo's violet-lit streaming room, seen from below, Apollo lounges smiling in his golden gaming chair while Hermes sits small on a guest stool beside him, one glove raised like an oath, confessing into the microphone under a red on-air light.

Expose Apollo by posting the text that proves he knew, and maybe burn both channels, or forgive him and carry the circumvention alone?

What happened

You voted, and PAY won. You sent him onto his brother's channel. November fourth, 3:40 p.m., Apollo's golden villa: in the guest green room, his mother is waiting. On the mirror sits his phone, its camera icon grey since Sunday, when his live streaming was turned off. All of it, sweetheart, Maia says. Even the two you ate. Relax, Mom, Hermes says. It's his live. I'm just a guest.

At 4:04 p.m., on air, he confesses: fifty cows, two eaten, one lie to Zeus. Apollo keeps his word. Request retracted, little brother. No strike Thursday. Olympus loves a confession, and three thousand new followers arrive. So why is Apollo still smiling?

At 5:12 p.m., two messages. YouTube: circumvention, his account may be terminated. Apollo: off since Sunday, little brother. I checked. Here is the trap: on YouTube, if your account has been restricted from live streaming, you're prohibited from using another channel to live stream. Violating that restriction is circumvention, and it may get your account terminated. Three thousand years of lies, Hermes laughs. One truth, and that's the violation.

Here is what Hermes doesn't know: Apollo never checked. At 10:58 the night before, someone told him. Now the choice: expose Apollo by posting his text, and both channels may burn. Or forgive him, and carry it alone.

And at 11:58 p.m., the account with no face goes live again. Tonight, the face is his mother's.

The evidence · The story is fiction. These rules are real.
  1. No live on another channel while restricted

YouTube says that if your account has been restricted from live streaming, you're prohibited from using another channel to live stream on YouTube. Violation of this restriction is considered circumvention under its Terms of Service and may result in termination of your account.

  2. The channel that hosts it is at risk too

Under YouTube's circumvention policy, posting content from creators with a current channel restriction is considered circumvention. The content may be removed, and the channel that posts it may also be penalized or terminated, along with other channels it owns.

  3. A scheduled removal can be retracted

When a copyright removal request is scheduled, the uploader has 7 days to act to avoid content removal and a copyright strike. One option is to get in touch with the person who submitted the request and ask them to retract it.

  4. The cows and the lie to Zeus are in the myth

In the Homeric Hymn to Hermes, the newborn god cuts off fifty of Apollo's cows and slaughters two of them. Later, Zeus laughs out loud to see his child cunningly denying guilt about the cattle.
