What changes
Before, the trial was 7 days of Elite and 60 minutes of video to process across the whole week. One hour-long VOD and you were done.
Now it's 7 days of Elite and 1 hour of video every day. You can run your Monday VOD, your Wednesday stream, your Saturday watch-party, and compare what comes out of each. To give you a rough idea, one hour of VOD usually yields around 6 clips.
Why we changed it
A lot of people burned their hour on day one. They ran one VOD, looked at the clips, and never came back.
The thing is, a single stream says very little about a clipping tool. A night with no real highlight, and the clips are average. A night where everything goes off the rails, and everything looks easy. Testing on several streams, over several days, gives you a much fairer idea of what StreamClipping does with your content: a quiet stream, a stream that blows up, a format you do less often.
That's what we want you to be able to see before you decide anything.
How it works
- 1 hour of video a day. We count the length of the video you send for processing: a 45-minute VOD uses 45 minutes.
- Refilled at midnight, your time. The refill follows your browser's time zone, not Paris time.
- It doesn't stack. An hour you don't use one day isn't added to the next. You get 1 hour back, not 2.
- A job started before midnight counts on the day you started it. Sending a VOD at 11:50 pm? The refill waits for it to finish processing (up to three hours), and the next day's hour stays whole. If it runs past three hours, the rest counts on the new day.
- Live runs in 1-hour sessions. During the trial, live capture runs in sessions of up to one hour. Each clip it produces only counts one or two minutes of your daily hour, not the length of the stream.

What doesn't change
- The Elite features. During the trial you get the features of our top plan, AutoPilot included. What's metered is the video: 1 hour a day.
- No credit card. You sign up, you test. We don't ask for a card to get started.
- After the trial, the free plan. After 7 days, your account moves to the Free plan: 15 minutes of video per month, forever. You pay nothing unless you pick a plan.
- Your clips stay. The clips you made during the trial stay in your account when the trial ends: the free plan keeps them for 30 days, so download the ones you want to keep longer.

You get it too. If your trial is running, you switch to 1 hour of video a day for the days you have left, with the same midnight refill. Nothing to do on your side.

- Try live once. Paste the link of your next stream and watch the clips come out while you play.
