Android

Your clip studio, on your phone

The Android app opens your StreamClipping dashboard in one tap. You stay signed in, your clips are there, nothing new to learn.

Download the APK

Android 7.0 and up. Direct install, no Google account required.

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the file

Tap the button above. Your browser warns that an .apk file can harm your device: that is the standard warning for this file type, confirm the download.

  2. 2

    Allow this source

Android asks you to allow installs from your browser. It is a one-time thing, and you can turn it back off afterwards. Play Protect then flags an unknown app and offers to scan it: let it scan, then choose to install anyway.

  3. 3

    Open the app

The StreamClipping icon shows up on your home screen. If you were already signed in in your browser, you land straight on your dashboard.

Why Android shows a warning

The app is not on the Play Store yet, so your browser and Android (Play Protect included) warn you before installing a downloaded file. That is normal and it does not mean the file is dangerous. The app asks for no sensitive permission: no contacts, no microphone, no location.

Frequently asked questions

Is it a real app or a shortcut?
A real app, with its own icon and its own full-screen window. It runs the StreamClipping site inside, which means you always get the latest version with no update to install.
How do updates work?
The content updates itself. When the app itself changes, we tell you and you reinstall from this page.
What about iPhone?
The iOS app is coming. In the meantime, add the site to your home screen from Safari: Share, then Add to Home Screen.
How do I uninstall it?
Like any app: long-press the icon, then Uninstall. Your account and your clips are untouched.
